Ibought this skirt a while back from a charity shop in Stourbridge for £3.50 but i've only worn it once since. I love it but it's not very me. I'm going to pack it for the cruise so hopefully i will!

On Wednesday i travelled down to London with a few girls from my Graphics group and visited the D&AD New Blood Exhibition. I found it so inspiring and motivational to succeed in my graphics A Level, so hopefully i can go to university to study it! Some of the work there was amazing, and it has definitely helped me decide what area of visual communication i want to go into, and also with my university choices. I'm hoping to go down again next Thursday to see the New Designers Exhibition too, so i can develop my Unit 3 ideas and collect some more mini portfolios and prospectuses.
I've treated myself again (i really need to stop doing this, and justifying it by my overtime at work) but i thought it would be nice for the cruise tomorrow (!!!) The Zara sale is great and i couldn't resist.

Day out in Birmingham with Evie meant that i splashed out a little bit on new clothes, but i think its justified by the overtime i did this week. I bought the black top from Zara which i love i thought was a good bargain at £9.99. Ive been searching for a blazer for a long time and this one is perfect from Topshop and my mom treated me to the shoes which i have been eyeing up since they came out! I feel like a very lucky girl.

I thought i would do a 'What's in my bag' post. This picture is so me, i don't leave anywhere without a fresh bottle of water, and i am so OCD lately so i loved arranging it (oh dear). Normally i would have my iPod too, but i have been at college all day so i haven't missed it too much. My bag is from Pimkie (which is basically a French H&M) and i bought it when i went on the French Exchange in February. It is probably my most used bag and i adore it.
Neck scarves are my new favourite accessory. Especially this one, which i found buried within heaps of old scarves and bags. I'm pretty sure i bought this from Yoyo in Birmingham a few years ago (I don't think its open anymore) for a couple of pounds. Its so sweet either in your hair, around your bag strap or tied round your neck, i'm in love.
I bought this coral bikini from Topshop for the cruise i'm going on next week, in an attempt to be girly. So pleased with it after one wear (in Cornwall), so cute!

I am having such a crisis at the moment. I feel like my future is being decided this year and i still don't know what i'll be applying to do at university. Do i stick around Stourbridge another year and do the art foundation course? Or do i go straight to university? Will i get in without FAD? Where do I want to go? I hate not knowing, and right now i have no solid answers. I know my passion and interest lies in graphic design/publishing but i really don't feel confident enough in my own work to push for that career, without feeling ashamed of my work. I want someone to be brutally honest and tell me if my portfolio is strong enough for a career specifically in this area...

Last night i went to see Best Coast with Emmy and Lily, at O2 Academy and i would probably say it was the best £16 i've spent in a long time. It was a super last minute decision to go, and i am so glad we did. Bethany Cosentino is absolutely fabulous and her voice radiates hazy california-esque tones, which instantly remind me of the summer of 2010. I love O2 Academy 2 because its so intimate and relaxed, there was no rowdy dancing or singing, so we could soak up the entire set without distractions. The lights were low and slowly merged blue, pink and white beams to truly create a perfect atmosphere. I bumped into loads of people i know too, which was cool- I couldn't have asked for anything more from Best Coast, and after seeing them perform i love them even more. Check out 'Do you still love me like you used to' (my favourite)
